Hims & Hers Will Offer Lilly's Zepbound and Foundayo at Lilly's Self-Pay Prices, and Says It Will Not Sell Compounded Copies

The short version

  • Eli Lilly and Hims & Hers announced an agreement on 6 November 2026. Eligible patients who get a prescription from a licensed provider on the Hims & Hers platform can buy Zepbound (tirzepatide) and Foundayo (orforglipron) there at the same self-pay prices any patient pays.
  • Self-pay pricing "starts at $149 per month for Foundayo and $299 per month for Zepbound", the release says. On Lilly's own LillyDirect pages, read on 8 November, Zepbound runs $299 to $449 a month with refills within 45 days, and Foundayo $149 to $299.
  • The release says Hims & Hers "has never offered access to compounded copies of Lilly's GLP-1s, and has committed not to do so in the future." That covers Lilly's drugs. It says nothing about compounded semaglutide, the Novo Nordisk drug that Hims & Hers offered in compounded form and drew an FDA warning letter over in September 2025.
  • The release gives no financial terms, no start date beyond "today announced", and no definition of an "eligible" patient. It does not mention retatrutide or research peptides.
  • This is a commercial agreement between two companies, not an FDA action. Zepbound and Foundayo are prescription medicines; nothing here concerns products sold as research use only.

Hims & Hers, which the release calls "one of the largest digital health platforms in the world", will offer Eli Lilly's branded tirzepatide and its new GLP-1 pill directly on its own platform, at Lilly's self-pay prices. The two companies announced the agreement on 6 November 2026. The release also carries a commitment that matters to anyone following the compounding fight: Hims & Hers says it will not offer compounded copies of Lilly's GLP-1 drugs. Here is what the release says, what Lilly's own price pages show, and what is left out, as of 8 November 2026.

What the self-pay prices are

The release names only the starting prices. Lilly's own pharmacy pages give the rest. Read on 8 November 2026, LillyDirect listed:

MedicineDoseSelf-pay price a month (LillyDirect)
Zepbound vial or KwikPen2.5 mg$299
Zepbound vial or KwikPen5 mg$399
Zepbound vial or KwikPen7.5, 10, 12.5 and 15 mg$449 with a refill within 45 days; otherwise $499 (7.5 mg) or $699 (10 to 15 mg)
Foundayo tablets0.8 mg$149
Foundayo tablets2.5 mg and 5.5 mg$149 and $199, "temporarily reduced through December 31, 2026"
Foundayo tablets9, 14.5 and 17.2 mg$299 (14.5 and 17.2 mg with a refill within 45 days; regular prices apply otherwise)

A Zepbound month on LillyDirect is 28 days: four single-dose vials or one KwikPen. Whether every dose and both Zepbound forms are offered on Hims & Hers, the release does not say. For the full picture on cost, see our tirzepatide cost guide and what Foundayo costs, and for the two drugs side by side, Foundayo vs Zepbound.

The compounding line, and what it covers

The commitment is specific: compounded copies of "Lilly's GLP-1s". Lilly's GLP-1 drugs in the release are tirzepatide and orforglipron. The release says nothing about compounded versions of other companies' drugs.

That distinction has a record behind it. On 9 September 2025 the FDA sent Hims & Hers a warning letter over claims on hims.com for compounded semaglutide, the active ingredient of Novo Nordisk's Ozempic and Wegovy, including "Same active ingredient as Ozempic and Wegovy". On 6 February 2026, STAT reported that HHS had asked the Justice Department to investigate Hims & Hers over its plan to make a compounded version of a low-cost weight-loss pill widely available, and that the FDA said it would "restrict the use" of active ingredients that could be used in compounded versions of these drugs. Both are in our enforcement tracker. The release does not say whether Hims & Hers still offers any compounded GLP-1, and we have not checked its site for this piece.

The pressure on compounded GLP-1s has not eased. On 3 November the FDA posted a warning letter to another online seller, RonanRx, over its compounded semaglutide and tirzepatide claims, stating that its records list no US plant as the maker of either active ingredient for compounding (what that letter says).

Where peptides come in

Hims & Hers is also one of the companies that met White House reviewers on the FDA's peptide compounding policy: the public meeting log for that review lists Hims & Hers Health on 23 October 2026. The Associated Press reported on 15 October that Hims & Hers and Noom had "recently announced plans to offer peptides to their customers if the federal government eases access." HHS has since published an enforcement discretion policy covering six peptides (what it says). The Lilly release does not mention peptides.

What the release does not say

  • No money terms. Neither company disclosed what Lilly pays or receives under the agreement.
  • No start date or eligibility rules. The release says the companies "today announced an agreement" and that eligible patients "will access" the prices. It does not say when ordering opens or who is eligible.
  • Nothing on retatrutide. Lilly's investigational triple agonist is not part of the agreement. Lilly says retatrutide "cannot be legally sold or marketed for human use"; see our latest retatrutide trial story.
  • Not an FDA action. This is a deal between two companies. It changes no law on compounding.

This page is news on a company record, not medical advice. Zepbound and Foundayo are prescription medicines; whether either suits a person is a matter for a licensed prescriber. Peptide Bureau covers research peptides for laboratory research use only, and nothing here concerns them.
