What to know before buying GHRP-6
GHRP-6 (growth hormone releasing peptide 6) is a synthetic hexapeptide, His-D-Trp-Ala-Trp-D-Phe-Lys-NH2, designed in Cyril Bowers' laboratory and described in Endocrinology in 1984 as releasing growth hormone in a dose-related way in rats, monkeys, lambs and calves without releasing LH, FSH, TSH or prolactin. It belongs to the growth hormone secretagogues, whose receptor was cloned in 1996 and shown in 1999 to be the receptor for the stomach hormone ghrelin.
GHRP-6 is not FDA approved, and FDA's compounding safety page (current as of 22 April 2026) lists it in category 2 for 503B outsourcing facilities since 29 September 2023, citing possible immunogenicity, a possible effect on cortisol and raised blood glucose from lower insulin sensitivity. It is not one of the six peptides in HHS's 30 October 2026 enforcement discretion policy, and WADA's 2026 list bans growth hormone releasing peptides, GHRP-6 included, at all times (S2.2.4).
- What to match on the certificate: Match the identity line to C46H56N12O6, average molecular weight 873.0 (monoisotopic 872.44), sequence His-D-Trp-Ala-Trp-D-Phe-Lys-NH2 with the C-terminal amide. Look for HPLC purity and a mass spec identity result on the same lot number as the vial.
- Vial sizes: Research stores sell it as 5 mg and 10 mg vials; do not confuse it with GHRP-2 (pralmorelin), a different hexapeptide with a different weight, and check the COA mass reads near 873, not the GHRP-2 figure.
- What it costs: 3 stores the Bureau reviews list GHRP-6; on 1 November 2026 the in-stock list prices ran from $3.00 per mg (Amino USA, 5 mg vial) to $5.10 per mg (Sports Technology Labs, 5 mg vial), before any code.
- Storage: Suppliers generally state that a lyophilized peptide keeps best sealed and frozen (around -20 C), and that once reconstituted it should be refrigerated and used within a short window or split into aliquots and frozen, avoiding repeated freeze and thaw.

How the Bureau picks
The pick is the vendor at the top of the Bureau's vendor list that stocks GHRP-6. Scores come from the scorecard, which weighs lab documentation, consistency, shipping and price, and a vendor cannot buy a score. Before any order, match the lot number on the vial to a certificate from a named third-party lab. More in the vendor scorecard and the GHRP-6 guide.

Frequently asked questions
Where is the best place to buy GHRP-6?
The Bureau pick is NextgenPeps (Under evaluation). Public COA library; the sample reports the Bureau was sent are third-party with batch numbers. Not yet tested by the Bureau. Alternatives that stock it: PSPeptides.
Is there a discount code for GHRP-6?
Reader deals checked by the Bureau: NextgenPeps, Code PEPTIDEBUREAU: 10% off; PSPeptides, Code PEPTIDEBUREAU: 10% off.
How do I check a GHRP-6 vendor before ordering?
Match the batch or lot number on the vial to a certificate from a named third-party lab, check the test date, and look for identity (mass spec) as well as purity (HPLC). The Bureau's scorecard records which vendors do this.
Is GHRP-6 banned by WADA?
Yes. WADA's 2026 Prohibited List bans growth hormone releasing peptides (GHRPs), including GHRP-6, under S2.2.4, in and out of competition.
Is GHRP-6 the same as GHRP-2?
No. Both are synthetic hexapeptides that act on the ghrelin receptor, but they have different sequences and weights; GHRP-6 is His-D-Trp-Ala-Trp-D-Phe-Lys-NH2, molecular weight 873.0. Both are sold for laboratory research use only.
