What to know before buying IGF-1 LR3

IGF-1 LR3 (Long R3 IGF-I) is an 83 amino acid analogue of human IGF-1: arginine replaces the glutamic acid at position 3 and a 13 amino acid N-terminal extension is added, which lowers binding to IGF binding proteins and gives it a longer half-life and higher potency than native IGF-1. It was designed for mammalian cell culture, where it is used as a growth supplement, and is studied in muscle and cell growth research.

IGF-1 LR3 is not an approved drug; the FDA approved IGF-1 medicine is mecasermin (Increlex, approved 30 August 2005), which is native human IGF-1, not LR3. The World Anti-Doping Agency's 2026 Prohibited List bans IGF-1 and its analogues at all times under S2.3.

  • What to match on the certificate: IGF-1 LR3 is a small protein, so the certificate should show a mass of about 9.1 kDa (83 residues; reference material from cell culture suppliers is made in E. coli and sold as a non-glycosylated chain), not the mass of a short peptide. Look for HPLC purity, a mass spec identity result near 9.1 kDa, and the same lot number as the vial.
  • Vial sizes: It is sold in 0.1 mg and 1 mg vials, so its price per mg looks huge next to other compounds (1 mg vials read 1 Nov 2026 ran from about $70 to $135); compare the price of the same vial size, and do not mix it up with DES IGF-1 or MGF, which are different peptides.
  • What it costs: 6 stores the Bureau reviews list IGF-1 LR3; on 1 November 2026 the in-stock list prices ran from $69.99 per mg (Amino Club, 1 mg vial) to $134.99 per mg (Sports Technology Labs, 1 mg vial), before any code.
  • Storage: Cell culture suppliers state the lyophilized protein is stored at -20 C, and once reconstituted at 2 to 8 C for up to one week, or aliquoted and frozen at -20 C for longer, avoiding repeated freeze and thaw.

How the Bureau picks

The pick is the vendor at the top of the Bureau's vendor list that stocks IGF-1 LR3. Scores come from the scorecard, which weighs lab documentation, consistency, shipping and price, and a vendor cannot buy a score. Before any order, match the lot number on the vial to a certificate from a named third-party lab. More in the vendor scorecard and the IGF-1 LR3 guide.

Frequently asked questions

Where is the best place to buy IGF-1 LR3?

The Bureau pick is Amino Club (Bureau Score 4.8). Batch COA on every product page from an 8-assay panel at an ISO 17025 lab. Alternatives that stock it: NextgenPeps, Limitless Biotech, PSPeptides.

Is there a discount code for IGF-1 LR3?

Reader deals checked by the Bureau: Amino Club, Code 100: 20% off; NextgenPeps, Code PEPTIDEBUREAU: 10% off; PSPeptides, Code PEPTIDEBUREAU: 10% off.

How do I check a IGF-1 LR3 vendor before ordering?

Match the batch or lot number on the vial to a certificate from a named third-party lab, check the test date, and look for identity (mass spec) as well as purity (HPLC). The Bureau's scorecard records which vendors do this.

Why is IGF-1 LR3 so expensive per mg?

Because it is sold in tiny vials, 0.1 mg or 1 mg, and it is a 9.1 kDa protein rather than a short peptide. Compare stores on the price of the same vial size, not on price per mg against other compounds.

Is IGF-1 LR3 banned in sport?

Yes. The World Anti-Doping Agency's 2026 Prohibited List bans insulin-like growth factor 1 and its analogues, at all times, under S2.3.
