List prices read from each vendor's own store data on 28 October 2026, before any code. Single vials only: boxes of several vials are left out. Vendors are ordered by their lowest in-stock price per mg and nothing else; a vendor without a score is one the Bureau has reviewed but not scored. Partner codes are shown only where the Bureau has checked them in a live cart. Check price links are affiliate links: the Bureau earns a commission at no cost to you. Vendors with no link have no affiliate program with the Bureau. Limitless Life Peptides, OMNI Peptides and Southern Aminos show prices only after a login or an access request, so they are not in the table. The store data for Apollo Peptide Sciences did not answer on 28 October 2026; it comes back on the next read that works. Pantheon Peptides and Peptide Partners listed no single tesamorelin vial the Bureau could price on 28 October 2026. Research use only: these are research-chemical vials, not a pharmacy product.

Tesamorelin is one of the few research peptides with a prescription twin. The same molecule is sold in the United States as Egrifta, a specialty drug, and in research-chemical stores as a lyophilised vial with no label claim at all. The two markets price it so differently that a search for "tesamorelin price" returns numbers a hundred times apart, and most pages that answer it never say which market they mean. This page is about the research vial, priced from each vendor's own store data every morning, with the prescription route set out below so the comparison is honest in both directions.
What You Are Paying For
Tesamorelin is a synthetic analogue of growth hormone releasing hormone (GHRH): the full 44 amino acid sequence of the natural hormone with a trans-3-hexenoyl group attached to the first residue. That one change matters for price and for the compound. Natural GHRH is cut apart by the enzyme dipeptidyl peptidase-4 within minutes; the hexenoyl cap slows that down, which is why tesamorelin lasts longer in the body than sermorelin, its shorter cousin. The tesamorelin guide covers what the trials measured and the tesamorelin vs sermorelin comparison covers how the two differ.
For a buyer, the chemistry explains the cost floor. Forty-four residues is a long chain for solid phase synthesis, each residue is another coupling step with its own yield loss, and the N-terminal modification is an extra step on top. That is why tesamorelin sits above most short research peptides per milligram even at the same vendor.

Vendors sell tesamorelin in 2, 5, 10, 20 and 30 mg vials, so the vial price alone tells you very little. Divide the price by the milligrams in the vial and every listing collapses into one figure you can compare: the price per mg in the tables above. Three things move that figure more than anything else.
- Vial size. Bigger vials are cheaper per mg at nearly every vendor. Whether the saving is real depends on how fast you use the vial once it is mixed: reconstituted peptide keeps for weeks in a fridge, not months, so a large vial mixed at once can waste more than it saves. The storage guide covers the stability side.
- Where the vendor sits in the supply chain. Almost no Western research vendor synthesises anything. They buy bulk material from a small number of manufacturers, then fill, freeze-dry, label and ship. Two vendors at very different prices are often selling material from the same source, so a high price is not proof of better material and a low one is not proof of worse.
- Testing. A vendor that pays for a third-party certificate of analysis on every batch carries a cost that a vendor publishing one old certificate does not. That is a reason to pay a little more, and a reason to check the certificate is for your batch.
Names vary too. Some stores list tesamorelin under their own codes or spellings ("Tesa", "TES", "Tesamorlin"), so search a store for more than one spelling before you decide it does not stock it. The prices above are matched by compound, whatever the store calls the listing.

Build your stack, 2 minutesResearch Vial vs Egrifta: Why the Gap Is So Large
Egrifta (tesamorelin, made by Theratechnologies) is approved by the FDA for one use: reducing excess abdominal fat in adults with HIV who have lipodystrophy. The current version, Egrifta WR, was approved in March 2025 and is reconstituted once a week instead of daily; it replaces Egrifta SV. Consumer pharmacy price guides put the cash price of brand Egrifta at roughly $2,400 to $2,800 a month without insurance, and most plans treat it as a specialty-tier drug that needs prior authorisation.
A research vial costs a small fraction of that. The gap is not a discount on the same product. The pharmacy price pays for a manufacturer that answers to a regulator, a known dose in every vial, a pharmacist, a prescriber and a recall system. The research price pays for none of those: the vial is sold for laboratory research only, its content is whatever the batch certificate says, and every risk sits with the buyer. Anyone comparing the two on price alone is leaving that column out.
How to Check a Vendor Before You Pay
The cheapest listing in the table is only cheap if the vial holds what the label says. Four checks take ten minutes.
- Match the certificate to your batch. A useful certificate of analysis names the lab, the batch or lot number, the date, an HPLC purity figure and a mass spectrometry identity check. A generic certificate with no batch number proves nothing about your vial. The peptide testing guide shows what a real one looks like.
- Type the address yourself. Popular vendor names attract look-alike domains, some of which take payment and ship nothing. The fake vendor checklist covers how to tell them apart.
- Pay by card on a first order. Crypto and bank transfer discounts are real, and so is the chargeback right they cost you. Take the discount once a vendor has delivered.
- Read the review. Every vendor in the table links to the Bureau's review or scorecard entry, which says what the vendor states, what the Bureau could verify and what it could not. The 2026 vendor scorecard ranks the ones we score.
Doses are outside the scope of this page. What the trials used and how a schedule is usually written is in the tesamorelin dosage guide, and the side effects page covers what was reported. For the retatrutide market, the same daily table is on the retatrutide price page.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the price of tesamorelin today?
On 28 October 2026 the lowest in-stock price among the vendors the Bureau reviews was $5.45 per mg (Ion Peptides, 20 mg for $109.00), the median was $8.50 per mg and the highest was $15.00 per mg (Amino USA, 2 mg for $30.00). Prices are list prices for single vials before any code, read from each store's own data.
Why is research tesamorelin so much cheaper than Egrifta?
Because it is a different product in everything but the molecule. Egrifta is an FDA-approved drug with a manufacturer, a fixed dose, a pharmacist and a recall system behind it, and pharmacy price guides put its cash price at roughly $2,400 to $2,800 a month. A research vial is sold for laboratory use only, with no label claim beyond its batch certificate, so it costs a small fraction of that and every risk sits with the buyer.
Which tesamorelin vial size is cheapest per mg?
Usually the largest one a vendor sells. In the Bureau's daily read the price per mg falls as the vial grows at almost every vendor, and the size table above shows the lowest in-stock price per mg at each size. A big vial only saves money if it is used before it degrades once mixed, so several smaller vials kept sealed can be the better buy.
Is the cheapest tesamorelin listing the best buy?
Not on price alone. A 44 amino acid modified peptide has a real synthesis cost, and a price far below the rest of the market can mean a vendor clearing stock, a vial holding less than the label says, or a different compound. Check that the vendor publishes a batch-specific certificate with HPLC purity and mass spectrometry identity before treating a low price as a bargain.
Are Tesa, TES and Tesamorlin the same as tesamorelin?
They are store names for tesamorelin listings. Some vendors use short codes or their own spelling for a compound, and the Bureau's tracker matches listings by compound rather than by name, so all of them appear in the table above as tesamorelin. Check the product description and the certificate of analysis to confirm the compound before buying.
How do I work out the cost of one dose?
Multiply the price per mg by the amount in milligrams. A vial at $8 per mg costs $8 for every milligram used, whatever its size. The Peptulator tesamorelin calculator does the arithmetic and gives the syringe mark for a given vial and water volume; the dosage guide covers what the trials used.
